Yes, that is really the goal! 30 different recognized nations by 30 years old. How did this goal come about? I (Denali) have been traveling since I was 10 years old when my parents took me to London, England. It was there that I have fallen in love with the awe of the world. I saved my pennies and ate ramen noodles in order to be able to go on trips through high school and college. When Daniel and I met in 2020 he says he was “captivated by how much I wanted to travel.” Fun fact, on our first date I invited him to go to India with me! That trip was later canceled due to COVID restrictions. Nonetheless, we both wanted to see as much of the world as possible. It 2023, at 26 years old I decided I wanted to be able to see 30 countries by my 30th birthday, which will be February 2027. Daniel, was just as adamant about getting to all the countries as well however, it is not feasible for him to hit 30 countries by 30, he will will be very close though! Thats when the inspiration hit to set a goal that we could continue to work towards, especially while having full time jobs, very active social lives, and a very needy cat.

Our rules for our goal are; airport stops do not count unless you leave the physical airport and stay the night. But the number one rule is for the country to qualify you have to spend a minimum of 4 hours and eat 1 meal in the country for the country to count.
